Great purchase!! Researched bikes for months and finally dropped the hammer. The All Terrain R750 is the perfect stealthy hunting machine. Eric is easy to talk too and will set you up with the correct bike you need !

Hunters who want to avoid being patterned often park their vehicles a distance from their stands and take a long walk in, but unless you’re Ishi — and who among us wants to walk through the winter woods barefoot? — that’s a slow, noisy process. There’s no mistaking the sound of a human’s footsteps crunching through the leaves and snapping twigs along the way.

While he’s not one to brag, Rick’s frames are the go-to choice of riders from the legendary DFL Cross Dress Series to the Cycle Messenger World Championships. They will all tell you the same thing: There is no finer frame than a Hunter.

Tom Ryle’s passion for bowhunting has fueled adventures spanning the United States, Canada, and South Africa. He is an official measurer for the Pope and Young Club, NMLRA, NW Big Game Inc., and Oregon Shed Hunters.

But with a price tag of $2,199, the Cogburn will be a stiff sell for many hunters. Its wide tires will roll over logs and float through mud and sand. Dragging a deer or elk out after the hunt … that’s another scenario altogether.

On private land, a bike offers the benefit of getting in and out without spooking the deer onto adjacent properties — let the ATV riders push them to you! — while on public land it gives you an advantage over other hunters, getting you well off the main thoroughfares, past gates, and away from the hunters dependent on roads and big trails, and even those willing to do some walking in the woods.

Standard fork: Thursday has had pretty good luck with White Brothers and Marzocchi. The prototype had a White Brothers Magic 120. It looks as if the new “Stage” model will clear a 3-inch tire, so I’ll give that a shot. Thursday gets a pretty decent price from White Brothers/MRP, so he can pass on some savings here.

This bike has dual hub motors at 1.000 watts each. each motor is driven individually with its own throttle control. I made this bike when I needed some thing to take hunting on public land where ATVs were not allowed.

Pedaling a bike uphill, even a slight uphill, can quickly raise heart rates and make out-of-shape muscles sore. On steeper hills, pushing the loaded bike gives an ample workout. Sitting on a seat, even downhill, can be a pain all its own. I’ve always worked at staying in some kind of shape, and once I started mountain biking for elk I had even more reason. I ride a quality exercise bike at home for 25 minutes every other day year-round and use a heart rate monitor to get my heart into the target heart zone: 110-125 beats per minute for a 61-year old guy.

From my perch 18 feet up in a sweetgum tree, I couldn’t even see my hunting vehicle, which was barely 40 yards away. I’d stashed the camouflaged bicycle in a brushpile, and it was hidden so well that I was beginning to worry that I might never find it again.

Choose an electric bike from top brands like Razor, Monster Moto and Jetson, and your child will be burning rubber in no time! To ensure you get the right bike for your child, carefully examine the age and weight restrictions of your new electric bike.

Covering several hundred yards quickly is a simple affair for a hunter on a bike. Moreover, a bike seems to make less noise — or at least a less recognizable noise — than does someone walking; it certainly makes less noise that an ATV. Of course, if you’re riding in before dawn, you’ll want to have scouted the route before hand.

Bikes can be surprisingly stealthy contraptions. One day a couple of years ago, I was riding back to my truck after a morning hunt. As I got within sight of the vehicle, I saw that my hunting buddy had made it back before me. Although I wasn’t trying to be especially quiet, I was able to ride right up behind him without him even knowing I was there. He nearly jumped out of his skin when I skidded to a stop!

  1. After three years of rough use, the vinyl covering has held up surprisingly well, marred only by a few predictable chips and scuffs, and the olive drab base coat continues to prevent any glare or reflections.
The predator-afflicted can make stands for miles across the desert without the need of firing up a noisy vehicle. There is little doubt that e-bikes are vehicles of many applications, and they cost a fraction of their electric-powered counterparts.
What a great morning of XC racing we had at Awaba today. We had 9 kids on the development track who were rewarded with cake pops made by Annie G, plus a pick from the lolly/chip bucket! This event was directed by Dallas. Thanks to all the parents who helped out. Lots of junior riders, as well as big numbers across all the grades had us all smiling. Also lots of first time racers, I hope you all feel very welcome. Thanks to Dean for setting a great course and to all the volunteers – our wonderful President, time keepers and first aid, who make it all possible. You are legends!
Of course, a bike simplifies pre-season scouting as well. One of my favorite deer-related activities is a last-minute “speed-scouting” venture undertaken about a week before the season starts. I quickly beat a path across the property, checking cameras, surveying acorn crops, and looking for bucks’ hoof prints at creek crossings. My feeling is that the less time I spend in the woods scouting, the less likely I’ll be to spook deer. Scouting by bike allows me to accomplish in a few hours what might take days to do on foot.
